- Chop sausages into bite size pieces. Peel and chop potatoes. Brown sausages in a pan, no oil needed, remove and set a side. In the same pan, add the soffritto mix, stirring to get any brown bits from the sausages too, extra flavour
- Now add stock, bay leaves and passata. Stir and add potatoes. Bring back to the boil and simmer for about 20-25 mins. Add sausages now and continue simmering for another 10 mins.
- Drain and rinse the beans and throw them in now. Season to taste and simmer for another 5 mins. Serve with fresh bread
Bring to the boil and add the beans and potatoes. Place the bratwurst sausages, potatoes, onion, green beans, red pepper, Cheddar cheese, mushroom soup and water into a slow cooker. In a casserole dish, heat the oil and fry the sausages until browned on all sides. Remove from the pan and slice. In the same casserole dish, add the onion, garlic, chilli and tomato purée.
