Steps to make Dal Makhani:
- Wash and rinse urad dal (whole black lentil) and rajma (kidney beans) in a large bowl. Soak in 3 cups water overnight.
- Now transfer the dal and rajma to a pressure cooker with 1 teaspoon salt Now add 3.5 cup water, pressure cook on high-medium heat for 10 whistles, then lower the heat to low-medium and cook for another 10 minutes
- In a large pot/pan, heat 2 tablespoons butter and 1 tablespoon ghee on medium heat. - Once the butter melts and is hot, add the finely grated onion.
- Cook till onion turns to golden brown now add ginger garlic paste
- Now add tomato puree and red chilli powder and garam masala
- When tomato puree completely cook add boiled kidney beans and Black whole black lentils
- Add water, handful of fresh coriander,cumin powder and Cook it well for 5 or 10 minutes in low flame 🔥
- Thickness of dal Makhani is depend of ur choice,now in a lil pan add butter and red chilli powder and pour it on cooked lentils
- Serve it with naan or lachha Paratha ❤️
