  3. 'Stack' the slices, not to tightly, one after the other following the shape of your chosen oven dish and bake at 200 C for about 50 minutes or until crispy.

Uncover the the potatoes and top each stack with about a tablespoon of the Gruyère. Sprinkle half of the grated cheese over the potato stacks. Bake until the edges of the potatoes are. Layer the potato slices into stacks and place in the prepared muffin cups. Sprinkle some freshly ground black pepper.
