- Make ready 300 g Plain Yoghurt
- Get 1 tsp Ginger Paste
- Prepare 1 tsp Garlic Paste
- Make ready 2 tsp Salt or to taste
- Make ready 1/4 tsp Ground Turmeric
- Take 1 teaspoon Red Chilli Powder or to taste
- Get 1 tsp Ground Cumin
- Make ready 1 tsp Ground Coriander
- Prepare 500 g Mixed Lamb Pieces, on the bone
- Prepare 🌻For assemble the Biryani
- Get Pinch Yellow & red Food Colour Powder
- Get Few drop Kewra water
- Get 1 Lemon, sliced into rounds
- Make ready Reserved Fried Onions
- Make ready Fresh Coriander, chopped

It's a labour of love but the flavours are out of this world. Meanwhile, heat oil in a large deep, frying pan on medium-high heat and brown the lamb all over, in batches if necessary. - Turn the heat of the pan down and add in the yoghurt mixture. Stir together then turn the heat up. Stir-fry until the oil rises to the surface. Then, add in the lamb pieces and stir-fry until the sauce begins to cling to the lamb. Pour in 170ml water and stir. Bring to the boil and then cover. Turn the heat down and cook until the lamb is tender. Ours took around 30-35 minutes
- 🌻Assemble the biryani: - Uncover the lamb and leave it on a low heat. Place all the rice on top of it. Sprinkle red and yellow food colour arrange all lemon and tomato’s slice spread fried onion and coriander and mint leaves.
- 🌻Steam the biryani: - Cover the pan with a lid and place a heavy object on top. Turn the heat to high for 1 minute then turn to the lowest and leave to steam for 20 minutes.
