  22. Make ready 1/3 cup wheat flour or white flour
  23. Make ready as needed Water
  24. Take 2 Tbsp Lemon juice
  25. Get 4 Tbsp ghee or butter
  26. Make ready 1 tsp Kashmiri chilli powder
  27. Get 🌻Garnish
  28. Take 1 inch ginger –,cut in julienne Fresh
  29. Make ready coriander –,finely chopped

Chicken Nihari recipe is made with chicken meat and it also has a very delicious taste. Nihari is a Pakistani/Indian/Bangladeshi dish, a fiery spicy stew consisting of slow cooked mutton/beef or chicken. The word Nihari originates from the Arabic word 'Nahaar' which means early morning. It is so named because Nihari was originally enjoyed in the early morning, right after fajr prayers.

Mix well and cook for 10-15 minutes. - In another pan, roast wheat flour for 1-2 minutes on medium heat until fragrant. Transfer flour to a bowl. Add 1 cup water to wheat flour and mix well without any lumps
  3. Add wheat better in the chicken pot and stir continue. - Add 1 cup more water and lemon juice. (Add less or more water as needed, Nihari should have desired consistency at this point). - Mix well and cover the pot. Let it simmer for another 5 - 10 minutes on very low heat until bubbling hot. Nihari is ready.
  4. 🌻To serve: - Heat 4 tbsp of ghee on a pan and add a 1 tsp of Kashmiri chilli powder. - Pour heated butter in pan garnish and serve with lemon wedges and naan.
  5. ✅Notes: - Try to make Nihari 4-6 hour ahead and let it sit for several hours for enhanced flavours.
