Butter Naan is one of the most favored of recent trending meals on earth. It is enjoyed by millions every day. It is simple, it’s quick, it tastes delicious. Butter Naan is something which I have loved my entire life. They’re nice and they look wonderful.

To begin with this recipe, we have to prepare a few ingredients. You can have butter naan using 6 ingredients and 4 steps. Here is how you can achieve it.

The ingredients needed to make Butter Naan:
  1. Get 1 cup maida / plain flour
  2. Get 1/2 tspoon dry yeast
  3. Take 1 tspoon sugar
  4. Take 1 tbspoon yogurt
  5. Prepare Luke warm water to knead the dough
  6. Make ready Salt & oil

With your hands, blend the butter into the flour until it forms coarse crumbs. You can do this in a blender as well, but the dough when worked with hands gives a better texture to the dough. Butter Naan is served with Red curry sabzi, dal tadka, dal fry, any veg sabzi, paneer sabzi, etc. I always add some butter in the dough and then spread some butter on the top of the naan, while serving.

Steps to make Butter Naan:
  1. Mix all the dry ingredients including yeast.Add in yogurt & mix well.Knead the sticky dough using luke warm water.Now add in 2tbspoon if oil or butter and knead the dough for 10 mins.This will form a smooth dough.
  2. Keep the dough in greased bowl & cover it.Keep the bowl in a warm place.After an hour it will rise upto double.Punch in the risen dough & knead again for 1-2 mins.Divide the dough into small balls & start rolling the Naan.
  3. Apply water on one side of the Naan.Place this Naan on hot Tava or pan facing wet side down on the tava.Keep the flame medium high.As the Naan starts puffing hold the tava upside down on the flame.As shown in the pic.Cook the Naan nicely.
  4. Take out the crispy Naan & grease with butter.Pic shows the crispy back side of the Naan.Serve it hot with your favourite Panner curry.

Butter Naan is served with Red curry sabzi, dal tadka, dal fry, any veg sabzi, paneer sabzi, etc. I always add some butter in the dough and then spread some butter on the top of the naan, while serving. Usually naans are cooked in tandoor (clay ovens). At home you can cook grill them in an oven or cook them on a tava/griddle. After cooking the Naan on direct flame the Naan will look like this as shown below in picture.
