- Before cleaning banana flower grease both the hands with oil to prevent our hands from black strain. Remove the petals and take the florets separately from it.
- Remove the part shown in the picture.
- In a bowl mix butter and water. Chop the florets and add that to buttermilk bowl. We are doing this step to prevent discoloration.
- Chop onion, ginger, coriander leaves, salt and Curry leaves. Add chopped ingredients and chopped florets. While adding florets drain the buttermilk water and squeeze it completely. Mix it well and make balls.
- Heat oil to deep fry banana flower vadai. Place the balls between our palms and press it gently to make vadai. Drop it gently after the oil becomes hot. The flame should not be too high. Slow cook it.
- Flip it. Remove it after it becomes golden brown outside. If we cook in high flame it won't cook inside but quickly it will change to golden brown outside. Banana flower vadai is ready.
