- Beat your butter with a mixer, add your sugar and keep mixing till smooth.
- Add in your eggs one at a time and add your vanilla essence.
- In a separate bowl mix and your flour, salt and baking powder.
- Add to your butter mixture and continue to mix.
- Add your milk, lemon zest and lemon juice and mix till dough is smooth.
- Throw your berries onto your mixture and the tablespoon of flour on top of the berries.
- Fold into your mixture using a spatula.
- Pour into greased pan of choice and bake at 180ยฐ for 25min or till inserted toothpick comes out clean.
- For the frosting, whip all your ingredients to a thick cream that you can pour onto your cake without being either too runny or too thick unless you used the round/square cake pans. But really you can use any frosting of your choice.
- After the cake is totally cooled you can then frost it and serve.
